volunteer Opportunities

MORE’s volunteers are vital to our capacity to serve the community and meet our mission and vision. There are many ways to volunteer your time and talents.

Education Program -
Classroom Aides: Volunteers that work in the classroom, alongside a MORE teacher to provide additional support for learners. Time Commitment – once a week = 2.5 hours.

Basic Needs Services -
Friday Food Distribution Drivers:  Pick-up donated food from Whole Foods on Snelling Avenue in St. Paul at 8:15 a.m. Deliver the food to MORE around 8:45 a.m. With staff and other volunteers, set out and distribute the food to the participants. Time Commitment - once a month = 1.5 hours.

Friday Morning Food & Goods Distribution Volunteers:  Assist in the distribution of free food and goods – sorting, displaying, distributing food and goods. Time Commitment – once a month to once a week = 1.5 hours.

Furniture Delivery Drivers: Occasionally, we need assistance with transporting furniture from a donor’s home to a client’s home. Hsar Kpaw, MORE’s Basic Needs Services Coordinator, will facilitate and coordinate the pick-up and delivery of the donated furniture with both the driver and the client.

Board Member -

We are looking for passionate and committed volunteers with diverse backgrounds, life experiences, and professional skills to provide governance to the organization and join our Board of Directors. Time Commitment – once a month = 2-4 hours.

If you would like to volunteer please email MORE and request a Volunteer application.
